Works Package
- Filling in of two pedestrian subways beneath Runcorn Busway.
- Construction of new pedestrian ‘At-Grade’ crossing points in lieu of subways.
- Construction of graded footways / cycleways and ramps (compliant with the Disability Discrimination
Act), incorporating new kerblines, asphalt surfacing, drop crossings and raised bus boarder kerbs. - Various landscaping works including tree felling.
- Carriageway resurfacing and application of new road markings.
- Installation of pedestrian guard railing and hand railings.
Hazards and Restrictions
- Works subject to traffic and pedestrian management.
- Sensitive operations to be carried out during off peak hours.
- Maintaining both safe footpath and vehicular access throughout the works.
- Various buried services along the length of the site.
