Works Package
- Carriageway widening, realignment and resurfacing works to both the roundabout and approaches with the application of new road markings and high friction surface dressings.
- Installation of traffic control system to the roundabout and approaches with crossing facilities for both pedestrians and cyclists.
- Placement of new street lighting and traffic signs.
- Installation of new and repairs to safety fencing.
- Various drainage and ducting works comprising new gullys, replacement ironwork, ducting for street lighting, traffic signals and signage.
- Footway and cycleway construction works, incorporating asphalt surfacing, tactile crossings.
Hazards and Restrictions
- Works subject to traffic and pedestrian management.
- Sensitive operations to be carried out during off peak hours.
- Maintaining both safe footpath and vehicular access throughout the works.
- Various buried services along the length of the site.
- Length of works to be opened up at any one time restricted.
